Trade plays a significant role as a foundation block of society, ensuring services and the habitability of the entire country and providing employment opportunities. In 2015, the trade sector employed 284,000 people, approximately 65,000 of whom worked in the grocery trade, department store trade and Foodservice wholesales.
The Finnish Grocery Trade Association (PTY) protects the interests of grocery trade and Foodservice wholesales in industrial political decision-making. Through business policy initiatives, supply chain development, co-operation projects and services, the Association wants to improve and develop the overall operating conditions of the grocery trade.
