The Finnish Grocery Trade Association aims at enhancing the profitability of trade through deregulation as well as strengthening the competitiveness of retail trade through lower indirect taxation.

Our goals are:

Updating the retail regulations

• Elimination of opening hour restrictions
• Introduction of self-care medicine into grocery stores
• More efficient retail construction
• Mild alcoholic beverages to grocery stores

Lower indirect taxation

• Lower VAT on food
• Lowering the tax on mild alcoholic beverages
